The test of on-line ammonia nitrogen adopts the ammonia gas sensing electrode method
NaOH solution is added to the sample of water and mixed evenly, and adjust the pH value of the sample no less than 12. Thus, all the ammonium ions in the sample are converted into gaseous NH3 and free ammonia enters the ammonia gas sensing electrode through a semi-permeable membrane to take part in the chemical reaction, which changes the pH value of the electrolyte in the electrode. There is a linear relationship between the variation of pH value and the concentration of NH3, which can be tasted by the electrode and converted into the concentration of NH4-N by the host machine.
Replacement cycle of ammonia nitrogen electrode
Replacement cycle of the electrode will be slightly different according to the water quality. For example, the replacement cycle of the electrode used in relatively clean surface water is different from that of the electrode used in sewage plant. Recommended replacement cycle: once a week; The replaced film head can be used again after regeneration. Regeneration steps: soak the replaced ammonia nitrogen film head in citric acid (cleaning solution) for 48 hours, then in purified water for another 48 hours, and then place it in cool places for air drying. Additive amount of electrolyte: tilt the electrode slightly and add the electrolyte until it filled 2 / 3 of the film head, and then tighten the electrode.
Preparation of ammonium ion electrode
1. Remove the protective cap on the electrode head. Note: do not touch any sensitive part of the electrode with your fingers.
2. For single electrode: add the reference solution to the matched reference electrode.
3. For Liquid adding composite electrode: add the reference solution into the reference cavity and ensure that the liquid adding hole is open during the test.
4. For non refillable composite electrode: reference fluid is gel and sealed. No filling fluid is required.
5. Clean the electrode with deionized water and suck it dry. Do not wipe it.
6. Place the electrode on the electrode holder. Before using it, immerse the front end of the electrode in deionized water for 10 minutes, and then immerse it in diluted chloride ion solution for 2 hours.
